Who can activate online?
Primary Cardholders and Account Administrators.
To activate your card online:

Go to Manage my Visa card and register your account if you haven’t already

Choose “Activate my card” from the “I want to…” dropdown
Confirm that the card you are activating matches the last four digits on the pop-up screen. -
Click “Activate”
You will receive an email confirming that your card has been activated.
Activate over the phone.
Who can activate over the phone?
Primary Cardholders, Account Administrators, and Authorized Users.
To activate your card over the phone:

Call 604-877-4999 or 1-800-611-8472 (toll-free) anytime, 24/7
You’ll be asked to enter the 16-digit account number plus the date of birth and phone number associated with the account. -
Register your login at Manage my Visa card if you haven’t already
With this login, you can view your transactions, manage your account and redeem your Vancity Rewards points (if applicable). Only Primary Cardholders and Account Administrators can register for Manage my Visa card.
Tips and tricks.
- You don’t need your PIN to activate the card.
- To activate the tap to pay features of your card, you’ll need to insert your card into the chip and PIN terminal and sign for your first transaction. Then, you can tap for purchases up to $250 at participating stores.
- Look for the following symbol on the card reader. Not every store accepts tap to pay at this
time.
