• term lengths from 1 to 5 years
• cashable anytime prior to maturity
• interest paid annually or semi-annually
• reduced interest rate earned if redeemed after 30 days and prior to maturity
• interest is not paid if redeemed within 29 days of the deposit or renewal date

US-dollar short-term deposits

If you travel frequently to the U.S. or hold assets south of the border, these investments earn a competitive interest rate while helping you avoid exchange-rate fluctuations.

• cashable anytime, no partial redemptions
• interest paid in U.S. funds at maturity, no interest on early redemptions
• Members are recommended to open a US dollar account to fund and receive the US Term Deposit to avoid any unfavorable currency exchange conversions
• if the US term deposit matures into a Canadian dollar account then it may incur foreign currency exchange fees.
