BC Green Business Certification
BC Green Business provides practical and affordable ways for businesses to take climate action. By getting certified a business can gain brand appeal, find cost savings, and improve their environmental impact.

BuySmart Network
Vancity is the founding sponsor of the BuySmart Network, supporting workshops, programming and events to help organizations shift to environmentally and/or socially sustainable purchasing policies and strategies. In 2014, Vancity offers bursaries to our business and not-for-profit members to attend BuySmart workshops.

Vancouver Island Green Business Certification
Vancity is partnering with Synergy Sustainability Institute to support the Vancouver Island Green Business Certification (VIGBC) – a certification recognizing local businesses for their environmental and social sustainability performance. Businesses benefit from the certification process which is a guide for “greening” their operations, and certification shows consumers their commitment to green practices. Certification is open to three business sectors: office, restaurant and retail.
Vancity business members may be eligible for support for 40% of the cost of initial certification.
