Independent Business Account

The Independent Business Account offers chequing and savings features flexible enough to handle the transaction volume generated by a business of any size.

Service charges and rates

  • Monthly fee
    The monthly fee is $6.50. This fee is waived if your minimum monthly balance is $1,500 or more at all times for the full calendar month. See our Service Charge Bulletin for a complete description of account fees.
  • Interest rate
    Interest is calculated on your daily closing balance and is paid monthly. View our current account interest deposit rates.

To open an Independent Business Account

New members

Existing members

Log in to online banking (not available with Online Business Plus) and click open an account, click Business Accounts and then select Independent Business Account. If you wish to open up a separate membership, refer to "If you are already a Vancity member" section of Opening or changing an account page.
