Ethics in Action Awards 2001 Nomination Process launched in BC
Vancouver, March 30, 2001 - Nominations are being accepted until April 23rd for the 8th annual British Columbia Ethics in Action Awards. These awards recognize and honour BC individuals and companies whose socially responsible actions and decisions have made positive impacts on their communities, workplaces, customers and suppliers.
The BC awards program was created in 1994 through a partnership between Vancity Credit Union and the Workplace Centre for Spirituality and Ethical Development (formerly the Workplace Ministry). Other key sponsors for this year's awards are Mountain Equipment Co-op, the Better Business Bureau of Mainland BC, Canadian Business for Social Responsibility, and Communicopia.net.
This year's awards ceremony, which will recognize award recipients and nominees in a variety of industries and professions from across the province, will be held on the evening of June 20th, at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom.
