Award: Canada's Top Employers 2019
Who: Vancity
From: Canada's Top 100 Employers
For:Vancity was named one of Canada's Top 100 Employers for the 12th time since the competition started in 2001. Some of the reasons Vancity was chosen for 2019 include being a Living Wage employer, supporting employees with young families through generous maternity and parental leave top-up payments, and helping employees save for the future with contributions to a defined benefit pension plan and a non-matching RSP plan.

Award: Best of Vancouver 2018 – Readers' Choice

From: The Georgia Straight
For: Vancity received five wins in the Georgia Straight's annual Best of Vancouver Readers' Choice awards. Vancity was chosen as Best Financial Institution and Best Local Employer, ranked second as Best Place to get a Mortgage and Most Environmentally Responsible Company, and ranked third as Best Place to Get Financial Advice.

Award: Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada 2017
Who: Vancity
From: Corporate Knights
For: Vancity was named one of the Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada by Corporate Knights. Organizations are measured on a suite of 12 sustainability metrics, including greenhouse gas productivity, percentage of taxes paid, health and safety performance and pension fund quality.

Award: National Credit Union Innovation Award
Who: Vancity
From: Canadian Credit Union Association
For: Vancity was awarded the Canadian Credit Union Assocation's National Credit Union Innovation Award for the digital version of its payday loan alternative, the Vancity Fair & Fast Loan™. This award honours and recognizes breakthrough solutions, which can lead, support and inspire other credit unions in the development of similar innovative solutions. For: Vancity was named one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People for the second time, with editors recognizing how Vancity encourages ongoing employee development with generous tuition subsidies as well as a unique 'live and work' co-op training option for employees interested in visiting Bologna, Italy, where co-operatives account for one-third of the city's economic activity. Award: Highest Customer Service – Banking Industry

From: Service Quality Measurement (SQM)
For: For the third year in a row, Vancity’s Member Services Centre has received a Highest Customer Service – Banking Industry award from Service Quality Measurement (SQM), a leading North American customer experience research firm. The award is based on the results of post-call member surveys SQM conducted in 2017 and represents the highest first-call resolution across the entire banking sector. The team was also recognized for receiving the Highest Satisfaction with its sales approach.
