Supporting BC wildfire relief efforts

Vancity is joining credit unions from B.C. and Ontario to support those impacted by the wildfires in B.C.’s interior
BC Interior Wildfires
More than 200 wildfires are raging across B.C.’s interior – about 14,000 people have been displaced so far, and thousands more are on alert. The situation is expected to deteriorate further, given prolonged dry and windy weather conditions.
To help, credit unions in B.C. and Ontario have joined together by creating a Canadian Red Cross donation portal where our staff and members can donate money to provide food, shelter and other relief to the more than 38,000 people who have been impacted by the wildfires.
As part of this effort, Vancity has made a corporate donation to the Canadian Red Cross. Employees and members who want to help are encouraged to visit the portal and make a donation.
