This summer, as part of our 70th anniversary celebrations, Vancity is proud to partner with Canada Wild Arts Society to present UNINTERRUPTED, a one-of-a-kind cinematic art installation that connects deeply with Vancity’s ongoing support for environmental conservation and habitat preservation.

For 70 years, we’ve been helping our members to thrive and prosper, and we believe that good environmental stewardship is vital to building healthy communities. It’s why we’re committed to environmental sustainability , and why we partner with working to preserve our natural ecosystems.

We’re excited to see UNINTERRUPTED come to life and for the opportunity to share this important story with the public.

About UNINTERRUPTED

UNINTERRUPTED is a 30-minute cinematic spectacle that will project the story of the wild Pacific salmon migration onto the undersurface of the Cambie Street Bridge. This massive art installation will digitally transform the space into a B.C. river, exploring the connection between nature and our urban environments.

With UNINTERRUPTED, we have a unique opportunity to showcase the importance of salmon to our oceans, while encouraging members of the community to reflect on the role we all play in maintaining a healthy environment. By helping bring the story of B.C.’s wild salmon to an urban audience in a fresh, socially engaged setting, we hope to inspire feelings of wonder and celebration—as well as a stronger sense of how our day-to-day choices might impact our natural world.

This event will be the pinnacle of our 70th anniversary festivities, and will be shown at dusk every night from June 28 to September 24. For more information, visit uninterrupted.ca.

Win VIP passes
