Canadian postal service mail disruption

How to manage your account during disruptions to the Canadian postal service

In the event of a Canada Post service disruption, we won't be able to mail you statements or renewal notices. It is important to keep your account in good standing as outlined in the Accounts & Services Guide, and keep up with your scheduled payments.

What if there are mail delivery interruptions?

In the event you don’t receive our regular Vancity statements due to mail delivery interruptions, you can always view your banking or Visa account balances and transactions online or at the branch. Cheque images can be viewed through online banking.

You can also phone our automated telephone line or the Member Services Centre for banking account balances and transactions.

I need a printed banking statement

If you need a printed banking statement for a specific reason, you can order one through either our Member Services Centre or a branch and then pick it up at a branch. It takes a few days to complete this order and a service fee applies.

How can I get a new Vancity MEMBER CARD® debit card?

If you need a new Vancity MEMBER CARD® debit card, you can get replacement cards at the branch.

Please keep in mind that even if you do not receive a mailed statement, you are still responsible for making payments to your Visa account on time to keep your account in good standing. In order to avoid being charged interest on purchases that take place in future billing periods, you must still pay your balance in full by the normal due date.

If you recently applied for an enviro Visa card or are awaiting for a replacement card, these cards will be couriered to your branch for pick up. For more information, please call 1.800.611.8472 or 604.877.4999.

When we have received confirmation that this service disruption has ended, we’ll announce that mail delivery has started again.
