Chieftain Centre branch will open April 26, 2010

Squamish, BC – March 29, 2010 – On Monday, April 26, 2010 Squamish Savings’ new Chieftain Centre branch will be open to serve members. Squamish Savings is consolidating its Highlands and Downtown locations into one modern, conveniently located branch that offers more parking, more privacy and better access for people with disabilities.

Member service will be minimally disrupted by the consolidation. The Highlands branch will close on April 23, 2010 at 6 p.m., the Downtown branch will close on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 3 p.m. and the new Chieftain Centre branch will open on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 9:30 a.m.

The Chieftain Centre branch’s hours of operation will be:

Monday – Thursday        9.30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday                             9.30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday                         9.30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The Highlands insurance agency will remain open, but the Downtown insurance agency and Driver Licensing Centre will relocate to the Chieftain Centre. The insurance agency’s hours of operation will be:

Monday – Friday             9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Saturday                        10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The branch consolidation will not affect members’ account information, pre-authorized payments, transfers or deposits, and members may continue to use their cheques.

Telephone and online banking will not change; members can continue to bank online at squamishsavings.com or by phone at 604.892.8359.
