SelfDesign Learning Foundation offers children an alternative way to learn

SelfDesign Learning Foundation is a not-for-profit organization providing Ministry of Education-approved programs online for children and youth ages 5-19.

Learners are matched with certified teachers to learn at their own pace, using personalized learning plans and interest-based resources while meeting the curriculum standards for British Columbia. With more than 2,000 students province-wide, SelfDesign serves all learners including those with special needs and First Nations designations.

Vancity Account Manager Ricardo Sáenz-Saldaña has provided SelfDesign with a line of credit, offering bridge financing for its operating expenses between Ministry funding cycles. The organization’s short-term investments are also provided by Vancity.
