Sowing the seeds of community in Richmond, BC

The Sharing Farm Society exemplifies the power of food to grow stronger communities. From its two locations in Richmond, The Sharing Farm brings together volunteers who grow and harvest organic produce that is then donated to the Richmond Food Bank and other local organizations.

The not-for-profit farm relies on donations, grants and seasonal income from farm gate sales to cover expenses. A  line of credit from Vancity ensures it can meet its ongoing obligations when revenue is unpredictable.

Since 2003, Vancity has granted over $100,000 to The Sharing Farm through both enviroFund™ and community project grants.
