Creative Vancity Funding helps green grocer purchase a "home"

The owners of an award-winning business, The Root Cellar Village Green Grocer, operate with a local focus and as small an environmental footprint as possible. They source produce from farmers and backyard gardeners in their neighbourhood whenever they can. During the peak of summer, 80 per cent of the produce they sell comes from BC, of which 40 per cent is from Vancouver Island.
