First day checklist

Get ready for your first day.

Step 1: Open a Vancity account.

If you don’t already have an account with us, we encourage you to open an account before your first day so that you can setup your payroll direct deposit right away when you start. Here’s how:
 

BC residents.

Book an appointment to open an account. To assist your Account Manager, please bring the following items with you:

  • Your offer letter, which confirms employment (include your Vancity employee number if you have it already)
  • 2 pieces of ID


Ontario residents.

You’ll receive an email to book a phone meeting to set up your account. Please have the following ready: 

  • Your employee number, if you have received it (if not, don’t worry we will get you set up)
  • 2 pieces of ID

     

Step 2: Complete the new hire forms.

After accepting your Vancity offer, your recruiter will send you the following new hire forms to complete:

  • TD1 Personal Tax Credit Return Form
  • TD1 Federal Personal Tax Credit Return
  • Declaration of Employee
  • For Member Service Centre or Visa Call Centre employees: Call Monitoring Consent Form.

 

Step 3: Read the Code of Conduct.

Please read and review the Code of Conduct in advance of completing the Code of Conduct Consent in myHR. You will complete this with your manager within your first week in your role.
