The Nominations and Election Committee helps oversee the election process by interviewing applicants and identifying recommended candidates to our membership. Members selected to serve on the committee begin their service every year in October.

¹ As per the definition under Vancity Rules
² All Nominations and Election Committee members are required to undergo a background check, which includes a criminal records and credit check.
³ Each year, the Nominations and Election Committee is asked to identify and recommend to the Board up to five ‘recommended’ candidates for the available director positions.
⁴ Vancity acknowledges that systemic barriers and historical exclusion may disproportionally impact some individuals’ credit score. Vancity will work collaboratively with applicants who encounter such barriers and who’s credit score falls below the specified threshold, to seek exception as required.
