Vancity’s purpose takes many forms. Through our independent arm’s length charitable foundation, the Vancity Community Foundation, and the unique concept behind Pigeon Park Savings, our values continue to shape inclusive, sustainable solutions that serve the needs of our communities.
A collaboration between Vancity and PHS Community Services Society, the Pigeon Park Community Branch provides more than basic banking. In addition to giving access to basic financial services and trusted advice to low-income residents in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, the branch team, employed by PHS, are financial aid workers trained in mental health and addiction and help create a welcoming atmosphere where all members are treated with respect.
Vancity Community Foundation is a non-profit foundation that works with donors and investment partners to deliver programs that strengthen community wellbeing. It supports projects and initiatives that advance social justice, financial inclusion, and environmental sustainability.
