We improved your rewards experience and it's now easier to manage your credit card account.

FAQs

How do I access my enviro Visa account on the Manage my Visa card website?

Prior to the credit card services upgrade, you used two different logins to access My Visa Account to manage your Visa card and My Visa Rewards Plus to redeem reward points. Now you’ll simply log into the updated Manage my Visa card website to manage your card online.

If your Visa card earns reward points, once you log into the updated Manage my Visa card website, you’ll be able to redeem points on the Vancity Rewards website without logging in again. Just select ‘Redeem reward points’ and enter the 3-digit CVV that can be found on the back of your card.

Vancity members: You can also view your enviro Classic Visa and enviro Gold Visa account details in Vancity online banking and mobile app (Personal banking only). Read ‘How do I view my enviro Visa account details in online banking and the mobile app?’ below for more details.

How do I view my enviro Visa account details in online banking and the mobile app?

Many members have been asking for a consolidated view of all of their Vancity accounts for a long time, which is why we’re excited to introduce this improvement.

Vancity members who log into online banking or the mobile app (Personal banking only) will be able to view their enviro Visa card accounts (for personal use) in their Account Summary.

If you don’t see your enviro Visa cards in online banking, you can add it by selecting ‘Add Visa card account’ (desktop only) or call us toll-free at 1-855-611-8472 with your card handy. If you’re the Authorized User, you’ll also need to provide some of the Primary Cardholder’s information.

To see your enviro Visa account in the Vancity mobile app, you’ll need to make sure your Visa accounts are visible in online banking. If not, you can add them to online banking (desktop only) by following the instructions above. You’ll also need to update your app to the newest version (13.14.2) after Monday, January 14, 2019. To update the mobile app, visit the App Store or Google Play on your mobile device.

Once you’ve added your cards and updated the app, your cards will be visible in under ‘Accounts’ in the mobile app.

Please note, each enviro Visa card can only be added to online banking once. If you have Authorized Users on your account, they’ll need to add their Visa card to their Vancity online banking. If you add your Authorized Users’ Visa card(s) to your Account Summary, the Authorized Users won’t be able to add that Visa card to their online banking. Please note, the Primary Cardholder will have access to all transactions on the account.

Why does my ‘Points earned on last statement’ amount show as zero in online banking and the mobile app?

Don't worry - your ‘Total points’ amount is accurate and includes the points earned on your last statement.

When you view your Visa account activity in online banking and the mobile app before your next billing date, the ‘Points earned on last statement’ amount will temporarily show as '0' (zero). You’ll see the correct balance under ‘Points earned on last statement’ when your next statement is produced.

In online banking and the mobile app, what does ‘Points earned on last statement’ mean?

This is the amount of points you earned during the previous statement cycle. This amount is already accounted for in the 'Total points' amount that appears above ‘Points earned on last statement’.

How has the My Visa Rewards Plus program changed?

We’ve improved the rewards program and website and changed the name from My Visa Rewards Plus to Vancity Rewards. It’s easier to understand the value of your points and you have more reward options starting at 2,000 points ($20 rewards value).

We also discontinued merchandise rewards. You’ll still be able to redeem points for financial rewards (cash back), travel, gift cards and charitable donations. We're also offering more gift card options.

Who are Primary Cardholders, Account Administrators and Authorized Users?

The Primary Cardholder is the person who applied for the Visa account (for personal use). They’re responsible for all charges on the Visa account, whether they were incurred by the Primary Cardholder or Authorized User. They own all the reward points earned on the account and can redeem them.

The Account Administrator of a Visa account (for business use) is the person the Authorized Signatory has designated to be Vancity’s main point of contact with the Business. For Visa accounts that were opened before January 11, 2019, the Account Administrator is the first person who signed the original Visa Card application on behalf of the Business, or another person who the Authorized Signatories have since designated. Account Administrators can redeem reward points.

The Authorized User has a credit card with their name on it, issued on the Primary Cardholder’s or Business’ Visa card account. The cards we issue to Authorized Users are sometimes called ‘supplementary cards’ or ‘additional cards’.

Authorized Users will only be able to view their own transactions online, along with general information such as available credit and credit limit. The reward points belong to the Primary Cardholder or the Business and can only be redeemed by them. Authorized Users will not be able to redeem points, unless they have been designated as an 'Authorized Redeemer' by the Primary Cardholder, Account Administrator or Authorized Signatory.

How have my enviro Visa statements changed?

We’ve made some changes to our statements to make them easier to read. This includes:

  • Clarity in language
  • Important information and a summary of your account (including payment date, statement balance, minimum payment due, and reward totals if applicable) is on the first page, with transaction details on the following page(s)
  • Offering account related messages with updates on your rewards, over payment, credit amount, and promotions
  • Printing our statements double-sided

We’re also pleased to announce that we’ve launched eStatements for Visa accounts. You’ll be able to opt out of receiving paper statements in the mail, too. Your statements will be downloadable for up to 18 months on the Manage my Visa card website. If you’re a Vancity member, you’ll also be able to access your future eStatements in online banking (Personal banking) for up to 18 months starting January 15, 2019.

Have you made any changes to epost™ for Vancity Visa statements?

Yes. Vancity will no longer be participating in the Canada Post epost service. This means if you currently have epost set up for your enviro Visa statements, you’ll no longer receive future statements in epost starting Friday, January 11, 2019.

Instead, your future Visa eStatements will be downloadable from the Manage my Visa card website and Vancity online banking starting January. You’ll still be able to access your previous statements through epost for up to seven years from the time they were received, as long as you keep your epost account.
