VANCITY ‘MAKE A STATEMENT’ WEEKLY PRIZE DRAW (the "Draw") Draw Rules

This Draw is sponsored by Vancouver City Savings Credit Union (“Vancity”), 183 Terminal Avenue, Vancouver, British Columbia V6A 4G2.

1. Draw Period: The Draw runs from 9:00 am PST Monday, March 5, 2018 to 11:59 pm PST on Friday, May 18, 2018. Vancity’s server machines will be the sole determinant of the entry time for all Draw participants.
2. Prizes: There are fifty-six (56) prizes to be won, consisting of twenty-five (25) $50 Gift Certificates to Tacofino, thirty (30) gift certificates to JJ Bean and one (1) grand prize of $500 driving credit to Modo Carshare. Chances of winning are dependent on the number of eligible entries received. Entrants will remain in the running for a prize unless their name is selected as a winner. Those who are selected as prize winners, will not be eligible for additional prizes. Draws will happen weekly on Mondays.
3. Award of Prizes: One draw will be done at random each week for five (5) $50 Gift Certificates to Tacofino or JJ Bean for eleven (11) weeks, one (1) draw will be done at random May 21, 2018 for the grand prize of $500 driving credit to Modo Carshare. The eligible entries that are selected in the random draw must comply with these Draw rules to win the prize. Additional draws may be made, if necessary, to award the prize. The potential winner must be confirmed as a winner in accordance with these Draw rules. An unclaimed prize will not be reissued by Vancity. Winners must reply to claim their prize within 48 hours. To use the Modo driving credits, the chosen winner must be a Modo member. A Modo membership is not included in the prize listed above and driving credits cannot be used towards the Modo membership fee. Should a grand prize winner be chosen who cannot use the Modo driving credits, the winner will be given the option to give their driving credits to a friend, or Vancity reserves the rights to do a re-draw for a new winner.
4. How to Enter: No purchase is necessary. To be entered, you must either:
   
   1. Fill out the draw form on the Vancity Good Money Blog between 9:00 am PST on Monday, March 5, 2018 to 11:59 pm PST on Friday, May 18, 2018; OR
   2. Enter through a staff member at any Vancity branch from the open of business on Monday, March 5, 2018 to the close of business on Friday, May 18, 2018 by providing your first name, last name and email address and/or phone number.
5. Eligibility: The Draw is open to Vancity members only (including personal, business, organizational, investment, and Visa members) who have opted out of paper statements and are signed up for estatements. Membership will be verified before prizes are awarded. Entrants must be residents of British Columbia who are 19-years of age or older, who are not employees of Vancity or its affiliates, and who are not members of the immediate family or household of those employees Vancity Membership will be verified upon successful draw for all winners. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received.
6. Disqualification: There is a limit of one entry per person, no matter how many times you complete the online form on the Vancity Blog. Only one of submitted entries will be eligible for a chance to win a prize; entries are not cumulative. The potential prize winner must be the authorized holder of the email account or phone number provided and may be required to show proof. Anyone found using fake email accounts, or using multiple identities to enter the Draw will be disqualified. Vancity is not responsible for wrong or incomplete entry submissions, all of which will be disqualified. Vancity may disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Draw rules. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within the specified time, fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question, fails to provide the required information or documentation, or if the prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, then the potential winner will be disqualified and will forfeit the prize.
7. Winner Verification: The potential winner is subject to verification by Vancity, including proof of identity and eligibility. The potential winner may be contacted via the same email account or phone number provided. If contacted, the potential winner must respond within the timeline as instructed in the verification email. Failure to respond within the timeline, return of email notification as undeliverable, or failure to comply with these Draw rules, will result in disqualification.
8. To Claim a Prize: To be declared a winner and claim a prize, the potential winner must:
   
   1. correctly answer a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question;
   2. sign and return, without further compensation, Vancity’s Declaration and Release confirming compliance with these Draw rules and acceptance of the prize as offered, releasing Vancity, its affiliates and their agents with respect to injuries, accident, loss or damages relating to the Draw or the awarding of the prize, and consenting to use of the potential winner’s name, city, photograph and/or statement in any publicity carried out by Vancity relating to this Draw;
   3. reply to Vancity within the timeline as instructed in the verification email, or the selected entrant may be disqualified and another entrant may be selected at random, at Vancity’s sole discretion. Winners are responsible for checking their email including their spam and/or junk email account folders and checking their voice mailbox for missed phone calls.
9. Participant’s Agreement: By entering the Draw you: (a) acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these Draw rules; (b) agree that Vancity can use, reproduce and modify your questions for promotional or marketing purposes, without any attribution to you; (c) consent to Vancity contacting you in accordance with these Draw rules; (d) agree not to challenge or claim against Vancity in relation to the Draw; and (e) release, discharge and hold harmless Vancity, Tradable Bits, Facebook and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and partners and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives of the forgoing (collectively, Released Parties) from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or any Sweepstakes related activity or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any awarded prize, including any travel/activity related thereto;
10. Privacy: By entering the Draw, you consent to Vancity storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted by you for administering the Draw and in accordance with the principles of Vancity’s member privacy policy (available at .) All entries become the property of Vancity.
11. Technical Problems: Vancity is not responsible for: (a) any technical malfunction or other system problems that could affect your ability to enter the Draw; (b) the failure of your entry or Draw question to be received or captured for any reason; or (c) any injury or damage to your computer or mobile device resulting from participating in the Draw.
12. Changes: Vancity may withdraw, amend or suspend the Draw (or change these Draw rules) to deal with any technical problems, computer viruses or bugs, unauthorized interventions or other cause beyond Vancity’s reasonable control that interfere with the proper conduct of the Draw. Vancity may adjust any of the dates and timeframes provided in the Draw rules without prior notice to you to verify compliance by any participant as a result of any technical or other problems, or because of any other circumstances which Vancity believes may affect the proper administration of the Draw.
13. Laws: This Draw is subject to all applicable federal and provincial laws and regulations.
