No need to download or install any app, just visit vancity.com on your smartphone's browser and you'll see a clean and simple site designed for a 4" screen. As long as you've logged into online banking at vancity.com from your laptop/desktop computer at least once, you can log into our mobile banking site using the last 10 digits of your MEMBER CARD® debit card and your Personal Access Code (PAC).

The mobile version of vancity.com/ provides optimal viewing and interaction on mobile phones, with a minimum of pinching, resizing, and panning. Visitors have access to the same content as vancity.com, and the mobile log-in page and security features have not changed.

(If you haven't tried online banking at vancity.com yet, we think you'll love the convenience of being able to bank securely whenever and wherever you choose. But first, you'll need to visit your nearest Vancity Community Branch to set up your PAC.)

Safety first.

Mobile web for smartphones uses the same personal access features as our online banking. Log in using the same last 10 digits of your MEMBER CARD debit card and PAC you use for online banking at vancity.com. Because it's easier to lose a smartphone than your home computer, learn some of the ways you can protect your smartphone.

Other features.

  • If you're browsing vancity.com on your smartphone, look for the banner at the top to link quickly to our mobile banking site, or our app.
  • Visit vancity.com/ and 'Save a MEMBER CARD', and give it a nickname so you can easily identify the account. The next time you bank by smartphone, you'll just need to select your MEMBER CARD # and type in your PAC.

How smart does your phone need to be?

Our mobile web for smartphones is designed for any mobile phone with a desktop-class web browser, for instance the Safari mobile browser found in iPhones® and the iPod Touch®, the Google Android browser, or the Blackberry® browser.

For Android and iPhone users, we have the Vancity Mobile App. Our app allows you to access your accounts any time, anywhere, with a suite of mobile solutions. You can enjoy the perks of online banking and some additional features that make use of your phone's camera to deposit cheques, and GPS functions to find Vancity branches and ATMs. For more information about the Vancity Mobile App, visit vancity.com/MobileApp.

Bank with us, even when you're far from home.

If your cell phone carrier has a data roaming agreement with a foreign carrier, mobile web for smartphones should work on your smartphone even when you're outside Canada. Be sure to check with your mobile carrier about potential data roaming charges to avoid any surprises.

My phone's been lost / stolen.

If your phone ever goes missing, no one will be able to log in to mobile web for smartphones to access your banking info unless they have your Personal Access Code (PAC). Contact your mobile carrier to have your mobile device deactivated. If your PAC is recorded somewhere on your lost or stolen phone, immediately change it in online banking or contact us to have it changed.

Mobile banking costs.

Vancity doesn't charge anything to access vancity.com on your mobile phone but some smartphone plans charge for data use. Since mobile web for smartphones uses data, your carrier may charge you data rates while using mobile banking. If you use mobile banking on a free Wi-Fi connection, then you shouldn't be charged. Check with your mobile carrier to avoid any surprises.
