Interac e-Transfer® fees

Sending

The applicable fee to send an Interac e-Transfer will be withdrawn from your account at the time of the transfer. The fee is non-refundable. Should you recall or cancel the Interac e-Transfer or if the recipient does not accept the funds, the fee will not be refunded.

Interac e-Transfer transactions sent from an E Package Chequing account , Access Chequing account and Independent Business Account are free.

Receiving

There is no fee associated with receiving an Interac e-Transfer.

Requesting

If someone owes you money, you can easily ask them to pay you back with the Interac
e-Transfer ‘Request Money’ feature. When you send a request for money, the applicable fee is withdrawn from your account. The fee is non-refundable. Should you recall or cancel the Interac e-Transfer Request Money or if the recipient does not accept the request, the fee will not be refunded.

Interac e-Transfer transactions received from an E Package Chequing account , Access Chequing account and Independent Business Account using the ‘Request Money’ feature are free.

Savings tip

You can avoid the Interac e-Transfer fee when you transfer funds to another Vancity member by selecting Transfer to Another Member on the Transfer Money page – instead of sending an e-Transfer. To do this, you will need your recipient's Vancity relationship number.
