Vancity and Empower Me®

At Vancity, we are committed to working with our partners to provide innovative and sustainable solutions to address climate change in our communities. That is why we have partnered with Community Power in sponsoring the Empower Me Program.

EmPower Me

Empower Me is an award winning energy conservation program designed for homeowners and tenants to help them save energy, save money and increase the comfort and safety of their homes. Energy Mentors visit participants in their homes, and provide energy saving advice and energy saving measures specific to the home and family.

Saving energy directly saves you money, and we strive every day to help our members do both.

Until December 31, 2016, all Vancity members are invited to participate in the Empower Me program for FREE! To become a Power Champion by participating in the program, you will receive:

  • an in-home consultation with an Energy Mentor (available in nine languages!);
  • a specialized energy-saving plan tailored to your home and family;
  • and energy savings starter kit;
  • a follow-up visit to support your home becoming more energy efficient, safe, and comfortable.

If you are interested in participating in the Empower Me Program, visit Empower Me for more details, and let them know you are a Vancity member.

Committed to a cleaner environment

Vancity has a long history of taking action against climate change, from becoming the first carbon neutral financial institution in North America in 2007 to helping our members finance their home energy efficient renovations with the Vancity Home Energy™ Loan. Read about how we support local businesses that are producing green products and services, clean technology or actively improving their environmental performance.
