Chief Risk Officer

As Vancity’s interim Chief Risk Officer, Edward oversees credit, enterprise risk management functions, and enterprise compliance while building the organization's capacity to make timely and strategic decisions. While in the interim position, Edward remains a Partner with MNP’s Enterprise Risk Services and Environmental, Social & Governance practice.

With over 24 years of leadership experience and a deep understanding of the credit union system, Edward has provided internal audit and enterprise risk management services to credit unions across Canada and in the Caribbean. He has helped create compliance frameworks and strategies for climate-related targets, as well as transition plans for organizations, including financial institutions, utilities, and government agencies.

Edward is a member of CPA Canada’s Sustainability Reporting Advisory Committee. He is also part of the International Organization for Standardization’s SC7 International Committee, which oversees the development of global standards for greenhouse gas and climate change management and related activities.
